New addition to Siem Reap's plethora of hotel options, the Hotel de la Paix is very chic indeed! Will be loved by people who get turned on by sexy modernism, but would not be much loved by traditionalists. Sculptures made from decommissioned weapons abound, bathrooms and bedrooms are all in one, and every room has a preloaded bedside iPod... Some of the suites even have private spa rooms with plunge pool and Jacuzzi attached.

Best still, whilst you are inside the hotel, the place oozes calm and serenity (and exclusivity), yet it is located bang next to the main night entertainment centre of Phsar Chas with its French colonial architecture "lanes" packed with little bars and restaurants.
