The lush, towering, rice terrace-bedecked, volcanic island of Bali is a cyclist's paradise. Climb winding country lanes for spectacular views, visit temple-strewn villages rich in Hindu culture, navigate narrow dirt tracks & trails, snorkel kaleidoscopic reefs and soak on tropical beaches.
If you’re a rider who loves mountain biking and are up for a new challenge, then this tour will more than exceed your expectations. Starting from the beach resort of Sanur we explore the famous Batur Crater, visit the island's two highest volcanoes and various canyons. Take in breath-taking coastal views along the way as you ride on a variety of surfaces – dirt, volcanic lava, gravel, sand and tarmac -- through witness a huge diversity of environments, from volcanic craters to beautifully crafted rice paddies and ending at gorgeous beaches.

Day 1 Arrive Ubud
Airport pick up from Ngurah Rai International airport and transfer to Ubud.
Hotel check in. Bike assembly. Cultural orientation.
Balinese dinner.

Day 2 Cycle day 1: Ubud - Bedugul (54km)
First 35 km mostly flat, past classic terraced rice fields and Pura Taman Ayun (temple), which we’ll visit, 19 km from Ubud. The next 19 km Luwus - Bedugul sector is an unrelenting ascent through highland fruit orchards and vegetable gardens.

Day 3 Cycle day 2: Bedugul - Sudaji (72km)
The first 60 km Bedugul - Lovina is a descent through fruit orchards to the coconut fringed north coast. We travel on the flat for 4 km through the old port of Singaraja before heading back into the mountains for an 8 km climb to our village accommodation among rice terraces in village Sudaji.

Day 4 Sudaji
On this day we’ll join with local people in village school and / or community health centre activities.

Day 5 Cycle day 3: Sudaji - Tejakula (44km)
The route Sudaji -Tejakula passes through traditional fruit growing villages (Tamblang - Tajun - Sembiran) and includes several significant ascents and descents ending at our luxurious accommodation.

Day 6 Cycle day 4: Tejakula - Penelokan (29km)
The route winds its way 19 km from coastal Tejakula to mountain village Lateng and then another 5 km on to the mountain top village of Kintamani which descends another 5 km around a caldera to Penelokan which affords a fabulous view of Lake Batur and Mount Abang.

Day 7 Cycle day 5: Penelokan - Ubud (88km)
The road from Penelokan to Ubud descends 88 km through coffee gardens, citrus orchards and mountain villages (Lampu, Catur, Plage, Petang, Sangeh, Pasar Mambal).

Day 8 Depart Ubud
Airport transfers Ubud - Ngurah Rai International airport.
