The Minahasa Lagoon Resort is A charming, boutique, beachfront resort located 45 minutes by car from Manado city, and consists of a number of lovely cottages facing a private beach, fringed by lush jungle.

The layout of the Minahasa Lagoon is highly original and for all the buildings only natural materials were used. A tidal creek runs through the property and the different parts of the resort are connected by two foot bridges.

The ambiance is ultra relaxed, a combination of Indonesian friendliness and European "savoir vivre".

Fine dining is part of the experience and three sumptuous buffet meals are included in the room rate. The open-air dining room overlooks the swimming pool and the calm waters of the Celebes Sea.

Minahasa Lagoon is the dream-come-true of Italian executive Joaquin Krass and his wife Catherine. Having traveled far and wide they decided to create a resort that "features everything we like and nothing we don't like". Their dedication to this credo and their attention to detail is apparent throughout the resort.

The cottages are spacious, with elegant wooden furniture and feature Balinese style semi open-air bathrooms. Each cottage is, of course, air-conditioned and has a small extra bedroom that can be used by children or two extra adults.

Minahasa Lagoon is composed of 15 cottages each with 2 to 4 beds, a swimming pool, 2 restaurants, a diving centre. The resort is truly immersed in nature, respectfully integrating with and adapting perfectly to the landscape.

Since ancient times, the local inhabitants have called this place "Mangatasik" which literally means "beauty which leaves you open-mouthed".

Each of Minahasa Lagoon's bungalows has its own veranda overlooking the sea so that the surrounding view can be fully appriciated.

The diving centre is equipped with the most modern gear, such as the lastest generation Bauer compressors, and is directed by European PADI instructors. The courses are open to everybody and are an integral part of the resort's programmes
