Ban Pako

Ban Pako is an ecolodge located on an ancient temple site by the Nam Ngum river, about 50 km north of Vientiane, the capital of Laos.

Ban Pako Ecolodge has room for 22 guests in simple but comfortable accommodation, constructed from rapidly renewable, local natural materials. There is a spa service offering local Lao massage and herbal treatments, and the restaurant serves delicious Lao food - considered by many Asian food aficionados as being amongst the best food in Asia. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the tropical Lao countryside, plus there are a number of things to do such as:

  • Take a jungle hike just across the river and learn about the growing plants, healing herbs and the exotic animals.
  • Visit small villages of different different etnic minority groups.
  • Visit the largest golden Buddah statue in Laos and learn about the lives of the monks at a forest temple
  • Enjoy and herbal sauna, using a mixture of different herbs and eucalyptus plants that the Lao people have been using for hundreds of years.
