Laos Escapes & Hideaways

Bolovens Plateau, Laos
The Tad Fane Resort is located on the Bolovens Plateau in Southern Laos, one of the most scenic spots in the region, overlooking the Tad Fane waterfalls, thundering down in a 200 meter deep gorge. Beyond the waterfalls stretches the extensive jungle of Dong Hua Sao, one of the 18 National Biodiversity Conservation Areas in the country.
Since the opening of our resort in 2000 we have been continuously improving our facilities. In co-operation with leading eco-tourism experts, activities are being developed. Tourism means jobs and an alternative income to hunting, small-scale logging and other detrimental activities in the forest. Nature trails, varying in length and difficulty start right at the resort. While mammals in Dong Hua Sao are under heavy pressure fromhunting and thus spotted only when venturing deep in the forest, birds have returned to the safe area around the resort.
Less than 10 kilometers from the resort is the provincial town of Paksong. Along the road to Paksong and beyond are several villages of minorities, such as the Alak and Lawen. While not as colorful as the tribes ofthe highlands in Northern Laos, the villages and customs still differfrom the ethnic Lao. We are looking forward to welcome you as our guest! Tad Fane Resort consists of 14 rooms in 7 in traditional Lao-style built bungalows
There are 10 standard rooms, each with private bathroom with hot water shower, toilet and a spacious veranda. Air-conditioning is not necessary, as the resort is located at an altitude of 1100 meter and the evenings are cool year-round. You will need the blankets that are provided though!
