This is very evident in the reception champa and dining pavilion, which are classic Vietnam structures transported across the water and assembled at the site.

The Restaurant: Serving international and local favorites, plus East meets West with fusion specialties. The restaurant opens to the environment, with glass screens that slide into place during inclement weather. The area is cleverly designed on several levels to provide mood changes and transformation of atmosphere throughout the day.
The Bar: Beside the restaurant, making the transition from drinks to dining a seamless affair. The Bar remains open until the last guest departs.

Sample itinerary for a week-long visit to Topas Eco Lodge:
Day 1:
Depart from Hanoi by overnight train (comfortable sleeper cabins available).
Day 2:
Arrive Lao Cai. Transfer to Sapa and on to Topas Ecolodge. Over night in Topas Ecolodge. (B,L,D)
Day 3:
First trekking day to the valley below Topas Ecolodge. Overnight in the Red Dao village of Sin Chai B. (B,L,D)
Day 4:
Second trek day that will take you to Nam Sai and Nam Keng before you arrive to Ban Ho Village for a home stay in a Tay house (B,L,D)
Day 5:
Third trek day where you return to Topas Ecolodge for hot showers. From your balcony you can look down on most of your trekking route.
Day 6:
Transfer from Topas Ecolodge to Sapa. In the late afternoon transfer to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi. (B,-,-)
Day 7:
Arrive early in the morning in Hanoi.
