Thailand Cultural Discovery

The peaceful and tolerant nature of the Thai people is legendary in South East Asia where they are regarded as humble, hospitable and easy going. Combined with 13th century history, fantastic scenery and great, but not too difficult cycling, in areas where few tourists go, you have all the ingredients of a truly great discovery bike ride.
We start in the original capital of the first Thai Kingdom dating back to 1238, with some impressive ruins situated in the old city walls (approx 21), and a further 70 within a 5km radius making bicycles the best way to explore this fascinating area. Leaving the history behind we head out into rural Thailand as travel along quiet country roads which gives you ample time to take photos and chat with the local people.
After passing through Orb Luang National Park and the Mae Ping Valley, we arrive at the base of the highest mountain in Thailand, Doi Inthanon (2595 M above sea level). Doi Inthanon with its numerous waterfalls, royal chedis that honour the King and Queen of Thailand, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside make this a great place for an afternoon of exploration.
We finish the trip in Chiang Mai, where we have a final ride along the Ping River, a celebratory dinner and a tour of the city to end a memorable tour.
